This is a decent deal for these watches, but from a feature and build quality standpoint, I think there are better options than the 265. For example, Coros, Polar, and Suunto all have downloadable maps at about the same price point. A lot of people also question Garmin's training algorithms, which seems useless.

Garmin does have best the best GPS and one of the best optical HRMs. They also have offline music as well.

If you don't mind giving up the AMOLED screen, I just got the 955 for around this price point. I know it's about to be 2 gens old but it still seems like a pretty capable watch from my research.

They (Garmin) also let you see your own data for free, what a concept! Looking at you, Fitbit!

I've been wearing the 265 for a year and a half and I love it. FYI, you can often get it for this price through Planet Fitness perks if you're a member there. 10% off for classic card members and 20% off for black card members. I think I got mine for $340 + tax in 2023.

We'll see how long that lasts though. They're really pushing this new "Garmin+" for $10/mo and it's starting to take more clicks to see my basic stats. I've had numerous times where I click on a chart and it takes me to a page to sign up for the paid monthly service. I'll be really upset if they move what I currently get for "free" behind a paywall after I shelled out as much as I did for the watch!

Yes, but it's Target store clearance, can't be price match, and it should be 1-2 years after 275/975 released I guess
