Why would anyone get this when QLEDs cost almost the same now?

Versus the Samsung Q60D Series... this Bravia 3 has more brightness, better colors, better processing/upscaling, better motion handling, and supports Dolby Vision.

So would you choose this for this price range?

QLED is just a marketing term. Don't fall for it. This TV is better than any "QLED" in this price range.

For the Big Three Brands (Sony, Samsung, LG) in this price range... YES. Not being a Big Three Snob, I would also look at the 2025 Hisense 85" QD7QF that's currently at this price. It's Mini-LED w/ Local Dimming, QLED, & 144Hz... but Hisense's QC can sometimes be questionable.

Is it better than any mini LED though? that's what I'm waiting for...a Sony 85" mini-LED at this price.

I've seen a few Hisense out there at this price.

Anyone can comment on the OS and interface? Is it slow or outdated? Very interested in this TV. Like others said....does it make a difference that this is not QLED. My boys play XBox series X a lot.

The Samsung QNX1D was around this price ( $1100 ) a while back. I honestly just blindly go off of RTings, but their rating suggested that it was better overall.

TCL and Hisense are better than Sony Bravia 3. The Bravia 3 is just a bad panel that doesn't compete even with Sony's processing.

How is the Sony Bravia 7 65 inches for $1000 from Costco item number 9485081 compared to the Bravia 3, both are the same price.

Bravia 5,7,9 are worlds better than the 3. If you don't mind the size difference, the Bravia 7 is incredibly good before you break into OLED territory.

Two terrible TVs vs comparable TCL & Hisense TVs around the same price.
