Good news guys! Someone at Reddit called Acme yesterday morning and they stated that they're still honoring the deal. This is what they stated:

I called earlier this morning and was told:
  1. They still intend to honor the order
  2. The tool is in hand, but the battery is back ordered
  3. They expect to ship mid-late May
  4. It's against policy to ship incomplete orders.
It sounds like several people have disproven #4. I might call again tomorrow and push a little harder on that. I don't mind waiting on the battery, but I want the tool in hand asap.

That doesn't mean much. I think it's bank dependent. My credit card payment was processed and still nothing has shipped.

Saw a number of people on reddit who were told by customer service that the batteries are on backorder for mid June. They aren't planning to ship the order in pieces as normal and will ship when they have everything together. Imagine that might have something to do with the margins on their end being poor.
