Nice ad, just put it in perspective - normal price per night is 40k points, can find it cheaper sometimes, 10k points is virtually non-existent, so this 1k is just simply nothing.

After traveling for years consecutively and doing that kind of stuff I no longer inconvenience myself for points that I don't even want to redeem because whenever I'm off work I just want to stay at home, YMMV.

Yea, sadly, hhonors points have suffered a severe devaluation over the past five years or so. I used to book Hampton Inn properties for 10-15k points in most cities. Haven't seen anything under 25-35k in a long while.

I regularly saw 30k pre-pandemic with occasional lower rates in very rural areas. During the pandemic 15k-20k seemed more like the norm, but I was also seeing cash rates as low as about $70 in urban areas at the times. I haven't seen anything in the 10k-15k range with regularity in the past 15 years.

And I agree with everyone else, this current promo is bordering on insulting to those of us who have gone all in on Hilton rewards.
