Only if you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve...the percent is determined by the type of card you have.
even with this discount you're only getting 1.5 cents per point - not a good deal
Considering you can regularly get apple gift card with 10% discount and you can use your point for 1.5 cent any time to book flight, I would say buying apple produce is only valued at 1.35. you can book flight to make it 1.5 value. Of course, it's even better for Hyatt. For example, for a cateory 1 , you can use 5000 points to book one night while the cash price could be 150 and also point reservation are refundable most time. I would value Hyatt point at 2.2 at least

Hmm...I canceled my reserve earlier this year; it has been 50% historically for the reserve, but possibly not now. That would be unfortunate. I can change the title if someone else with a reserve can confirm as well.

They figured it out. It was a glitch in their system since we have a reserve and preferred linked to the same account with our checking, and mortgage. We had to separate the reserve or preffered off the account to fix it.

wow... it's from a 3rd party?

i've skimmed a few of these 'chase/apple' threads over the years and this is the first time i'm seeing something like this...

While I suspect things like this do happen, the majority of posts to Reddit and such aren't success stories.

I've used this to get 5-6 pro maxes and 3-4 Apple Watches over the years and have had no issues.

It is worth noting they usually do this November 1 as well, and since the item will all be retail priced, the new models will usually be available then.

No just the 1 year Apple warranty. I know it's a $999 phone but I get by with $6 screen protectors and case from Target pretty well. It's an iPhone, pretty tough to damage given any said protections.

Also some of the chase cards…maybe the business ones have cell phone protection if you pay your monthly cell phone bill with it so that might be another option.

I've stayed at a hyatt category 1 hotel before, off-peak only cost 3500 points. Try to redeem 3500 points as a cash back option it's $35. Not a bad night stay for "$35" and it came with free breakfast. If I ever stay in the area again I'd definitely stay there again.

edit: i think the night stay would have been close to $150 or so plus fees and tax

ok so I just looked and found out the Category 1 hotel I stayed at got bumped up to Category 2 this year.

I did pretty good this year my one week stay at Hyatt, cost 9500 points per night at an otherwise $275 out of pocket hotel. The thing is I can typically churn at least 150,000 points per year with the Chase business cards and I don't travel that much so while I'd otherwise just be sitting on these points which some will say is money lost, every four years I get an new iPhone with no out of pocket money. It's just me doing me whether it's the most fiscal way to use points or not.

Yes, this. I churn a similar amount on the other business cards as well. If I can use them for travel, I do, but travel isn't a big thing for our family. So, this works out really well to pick up iphones and such.

Typically Chase has this offer twice a year, once now and once in Nov/Dec. Thinking of buying an iPhone 16. Normally it would be best to wait for prices to drop after the launch of iPhone 17 in September. However, with all these tariffs it's not clear if the prices will drop or will they go up by end of the year.
