Owned these since day 1 release. Love everything about them. Comfort, battery, sound, mic, controls. BUT. There are pretty bad connectivity issues. My friends got the headset too, they get it too. It randomly disconnects. I sent mine to Sony, they "fixed it" but when it came back, few days later, same problem. I tried a usb c adapter. Moved router to another room in case of wireless interference. Didn't fix it. There was a software update. Didn't fix it. According to Reddit, people deduce it's the usb receiver overheating, causing the sudden disconnect. Sadly, I sold mine and bought a arctis nova pro wireless. If these didn't have the random disconnect issues, I'd highly highly recommend even at retail price. So anyone buying these, if my warning wasn't enough, I wish you best of luck and hope you can enjoy them. Wish I could've.
I've experienced the disconnects too, but it happened very rarely. I suspected it was from overheating because the adapter plugged into the rear USB port is right in the path of the heat exhaust, so I added a short extension cable to keep the adapter away from that hot spot. I haven't experienced a disconnect since.

I'll have to try this but I have mine plugged into the front port

In that case it probably won't help. It could be that I've just been lucky since I started using the extension cable. As I mentioned, it was a rare occurrence for me.

Truthfully haven't tried that yet, but saw that fix online with people claiming it still would be happening. Glad to hear it hasn't caused you any problems.
I've had these a couple years now. I replaced a disintegrating pair of ps platinums.
When compared to my ps platinums, these have a much better mic, however, these lost the chat mix volume controls. I really miss that feature.
I almost 100% recommend these. They sound great, work with ps portal, are sturdy, come with a hanging charger, and are easy to setup and use.
HOWEVER... they disconnect at least once per gaming session. When that happens you have to get up, unplug, and plug back in the dongle. There is usually no further issue during that session, but it can be really annoying when I finally get in my comfy spot, all bundled up the way I like, then have to get up.
Or when you're in the middle of a level 10 in helldivers and have to get up and get comms back up.
Or when you're in endgame in Fortnite and hear the last squad closing in, only to semi-lose comms with your team and lose all sound.

Had them since day 1 and they are super comfy and can Bluetooth with my phone while they connect via PS link to the portal.
Really wish they would make the ps5 Link compatible with no dongleā¦.
