Three bigger plates are $37 (3x$12.30), and in my opinion family meal is bigger. I always have some leftovers for next day, and that never happened for 3 bigger plates (order for 2 adults and 2 children).

If they give bowls, we all know they load it up with rice, give like 12 pieces of meat, and the rest vegetables. If it is a take out container involving meats and vegetables, they give like a small amount of meat and the rest vegetables. They are as bad as Subway when they portion out everything.

2 sides and 3 entrees. Lets say the 2 sides are equivalent to an entrée, so $30/4=$7.50 per dish. In the San Francisco Bay Area, this is very reasonable. I like their Teriyaki Chicken and vegetable sides. As a home chef, what I save is time. Yes, I can make my it myself and save some money, but when time is tight, we order out. For comparison, a dish at the local family style Chinese restaurant here is going to be at least $15 per dish (i.e., Broccoli Beef, Walnut Shrimp. Fried Rice, pork spare ribs, etc,etc)

I live within the zone for the Dodgers deal so this doesn't make much sense to me. However, when that deal isn't available, the normal plates are still a much better offering than going to local spots. Not many local spots have plates, or they only have them during lunchtime. If you go the entree route then it's going to cost around $15 each at the local spots. So if you need this amount of food then it's a good deal IMO.

This is why placing future Dodger orders are so helpful. I typically have no idea what I'm gonna eat until that day. So I always place many orders in the future and then decide in the morning to keep or cancel if I can't pick it up.

Just a heads up, I called their gift card provider and the GC offer and the Family meal promo here for $30, is causing a massive overload. My GC checkout failed multiple times even though I was using brand name cards and payment. (It went thru using the mobile site)
So if your tx fails, just keep trying.

Also, the emails for confirmation are delayed. When you get one, it links to your purchased GC's and it may be blank. Mine still is. But it will show up eventually. Hope this info helps anyone having issues.
