With my giant hands, the oversized butt of the handle is an annoyance, especially when the length of the handle is generally too short for your mitts already.

As an avid knife enthusiast… Get this instead… hands down the best deal I've ever found on some GERMAN made knives…. Also what people don't understand is that this set ALSO INCLUDES 6 of their steak knives which alone themselves cash $$$$
There was a post the previous week about some Henckels steak knives for like $199 or something but THOSE KNIVES are from China… not GERMANY LIKE THESE STEAK KNIVES ARE…. Yeah the block is ugly buuut you can always just buy an aftermarket block if it really bothers you. Awesome set of German Steel and are super sharp… you may want to invest into a knife sharpener too, ie whetstones. I sharpen mine like once every year lol
