Yes, 4 pin has better controls for fan speeds. It is also more efficient.
Yes. But only LED and not power. So unless you have a power hub, you need to connect the 4 pin to the mobo for power and the led pins to the CORSAIR controller if you want led control. You will need a CORSAIR power controller if you don't want to deal with your mobo controlling fan speed as the led controller is only for lights and not fan speed.
