Good price for this. I've seen this discounted frequently. Probably trying to clearance this since its successor (which they claim is more powerful) launched at the beginning of the year.

I needed a hammer drill a month ago and paid $130 for this one. From my personal experience it's not as nice as a DeWalt xr but it gets the job done. If your invested in the Ryobi battery system this is a great deal.

Same model number as one on Home Depot; so $10 cheaper. Factory Blemished has some kind of cosmetic dent or scratch. The last several items I ordered had nothing I could detect. I think it's more to circumvent pricing competition, at least someone mentioned it on here before. Good deal!

When you highlight it, it says:

"LIKE NEW" merchandise with a slight cosmetic flaw that is priced below MSRP. Products include full manufacturer's warranty!

Factory blemished is brand new, no defects. Refurbished is used and likely beat up with no quality control.

No, not the same as refurb. Factory blemished is brand new but with some defect from the factory that doesn't affect its function. I have one factory blemished item from DTO and have never been able to find the "blemish."

Heads up: This hammer drill does not have a hammer only mode. It will only drill holes. It will not chisel or break concrete/rock as a hammer.

DTO sells it as blemished because they don't want to compete with Home Depot. They're not blemished at all.

posted this in the HomeDepot Thread.

just tried it out on CBS wall with 3.5" Tapcons.
Lots of power. Hammer function well. and the bit and chuck are straight and aligned.

my old P251 is a little wobbly.

Things I will miss: Belt clip and Mag tray

Correct. It's more for drilling into concrete or brick.

I've owned this for 3 years now and it's my favorite all-purpose drill. You can turn off the hammer function, and it's there if you need it. I mount TVs for friends/family quite a bit and it does great for drilling anchors into brick fireplaces. Also use it to make holes for Tapcon screws. Good tool.
