I was gifted this one several years ago and it's the only press I use. Has a lot of weight, and the circular shape helps press your burger balls into nice thin patties.

(Protip: cover your burger with a small sheet of parchment paper to prevent your press from sticking to the meat)
Ended up going with a generic, flat, circular press on Amazon and it's been fantastic.
Bacon doesn't need a press- if it's curling up it means there's too much heat. Add a ladle of water to the top of your bacon to render the fat. Once it evaporates the melted fat will fry the remaining meat.
