TD - price. since when is paying for a 40 year-old tv show is a SD? and it wasn't remastered or upscaled or anything? remember when all this stuff was free? i member.

Classic. Sad it's in SD but the nostalgia hits with a VHS-quality kids TV cartoon. My kids and I enjoy it. Definitely more convenient than loading disc after disc from the DVD bundle.

Considering paramount owns the series and only put 3 season up on streaming and the reviews for the dvd set that came out last year thats around the same price as this are bad I think this might be the best deal for this show since it doesnt seem like they even tried to put it on bluray so we'll probably never get an official hd release

I recall controversy with the voice actors from the first show/seasons?. But that was more prominent with future reboots/etc. All things considered, I wouldn't be surprised if there are conflicts of some kind preventing a remaster... but this was a lot of show... so maybe just too much work?

Free and you are were a kid with basically no money. Now as an adult, you can't afford something like this to share with your kids and tell them why the OG Turtles show is still the best?

When I was a kid I had the VHS tapes for the first season, it was like 6-7 episodes. My daughter has been interested in Ninja Turtles through school but some of the newer shows are a little too ADHD-inducing. I bought the first season for like $7, which is just enough to kind of scratch the nostalgic itch (I'm 36 years old, I don't *actually* have the desire to watch through all of the show nor the time) while getting her introduced. She loved it.

I wouldn't hold your breath for an HD remaster. I have the complete 2012 DVD set (23 discs) and its evident they put minimal effort into it. A lot of episodes are out of order and often put on to random, unrelated discs to that season.
