It's definitely a good deal for a budget build. No PCIE 5.0 slot. DDR5 is CL36. But for $140 for an AM5 mobo and 32GB of memory, it's a no-brainer for the gamer on a budget who has been waiting for a sign to upgrade from their (very) old system. Extra good deal given the looming tariffs, I suspect that prices are going to look awful in a month or two, and will be awful for a while.
Sure, if you have to buy right this second, it's not a terrible deal.
But Newegg had a B850M Gaming X with somewhat better VRMs, PCIe 5.0 GPU slot, and 2x16GB of DDR5 6400 memory for $174.99 not more than 2 weeks ago. Patience may yield a better deal.
nobody is buying this to undervolt or overclock a system lol. they're just buying to get into the am5 platform on a budget.

Excellent, thank you. I hesitated last week and missed this deal because I had a cart full of parts and had to measure my case to make sure they'd fit. I was worried I'd be seeing tariff pricing before this offer came up again. Just pulled the trigger.

No PBO/Undervolting or curve optimizer support on this motherboard. Do your research please.
"budget" as in people who count their dollars and aren't paying for cutting edge because they can't afford it... or can afford it but don't want to lose an arm and a leg on their kids gaming computer.

I bought it a week ago. No need for overclocking and it works well.

Might end up spending more with the tariffs in the future! Missed out on the 9900X 32gb ram X870 combo they had for $497 still kicking myself!

I bought this last week because I needed a mATX Motherboard to reuse my case. The board was already compatible with my 9600x, no need to flash a bios. I installed a 9600x and overclocked it +200mhz -30 curve without any issues. I also had to enable expo/xmp for the ram to run at 6000. Great budget build

yeah, I hate that I missed that deal. I need an additional PCI-E x4 or greater slot, which that deal had but this deal doesn't. I'll just have to hope a new bundle comes soon.

I used PBO and curve optimizer without any issues on my 9600x. Maybe it's an issue for more power hungry processors?

PCIe 5.0 doesn't worth that much over PCIe 4.0 for gaming. Take 5090's PCIe scaling for example, across all 3 resolutions of FHD, QHD and UHD, PCIe 4.0x16 has 99% of the performance with PCIe 5.0x16. Difference is less significant with lower end GPUs.

I mean if you are putting together a budget build it does matter. Someone buying this probably can't afford a 5090.

A 5060 ti that is already cut to 8 lanes gets hurt worse by a drop to pcie4. Up to 10 percent or more from testing so far. https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-c...g-pcie-4-0
