This has been much lower than this before. I think it was $639 for excellent condition a few weeks back.

It would be better and more helpful to all of us if you provided a link instead of just saying things and downplaying a deal.
I, for one, could not find such a deal upon searching.

I believe that was the lower end model. Less ram and storage.

This deal. The dedicated GPU RTX 3050 will do him a great deal as an engineering major. This has a much better display, better processor, dedicated GPU, battery life would be less than the ThinkPad, has double the storage, and is half the price of the Lenovo. The ThinkPad is nonsensically priced, so please don't waste 1.5 grand on it.

The two have no correlation whatsoever. One is the resolution and the other is the display/panel type. It's a 1080p OLED display.

I believe this was the same laptop that had the pricing error for $450 or $500 at one point. There were a few lucky ones that were able to get it.

Yes, I posted that deal too. Again, that was primarily the lesser spec model. This one was unavailable shortly after the price error.

Snagged one at fair price. This is exactly what i was looking for my son studying engineering. Solid review for performance and battery life and screen. Bought a similar model for my other son has worked out well.
