No...I have one....ZERO padding other than on straps and back panel. Any type of photography equipment would be subject to damage.

we keep one of these in the back of the car. OK for carrying extra jacket and a water bottle. not much else. no padding and not very big

I wish it was a nicer color. This will get stained the first time I take it on a hike. I like these for a water bottle and storing dog leashes for trips to the dog beach, or things like that.

This is the normal price at my store.

I was in just 2 weeks ago looking for a sling for a trip. I looked at it but the material was super lightweight with no structure. It might be good to carry a jacket in but items with any weight won't be supported well. It might be a good packable type bag just incase you need something but I don't think it would work long term.

It's been this price for at least a few weeks as I was looking at a cheap backpack for short hikes. After I looked at them in the store, I went with this one for $10.88. I've used it a few times and works perfect for my needs.

These are AWESOME as throwaway bags. Especially if you're in a rush or have some kind of emergency for about a week of very heavy use.

I've tossed a few in my family's vehicles and they've come in SO clutch!

Imo it's worth it to buy $35 worth of these bags, or however much you need for free shipping, just to stock up.

it compresses down pretty small but it doesn't have like a built-in zippered pouch that it folds itself into or anything

lol no, unless you mean your phone. if you have anything equipment of value, multiple lenses, then you want a camera bag designed specifically for camera equipment. it should have foam padding and inserts for your lenses and bodies. This thing is a daypack / packing cube.

I have two of the previous (?)version of this with the zipper up front off to the side - and they've made their way around the world almost literally and still look like new. Maybe this is not as good though bc it appears to have less pockets. the one I have for instance has a hard shell small pocket up top which is super helpful.
