But same tv in Costco for same price $1999 comes with 5 years AllState warranty. I just finished the warranty claim on my 2023 mid Sam's Club bought Samsung 85 QLED (Q80B) which came with 5 years AllState warranty and the Samsung tech support who sent the local tech person (came in blue Samsung shirt and had factory remote to open many different code menus on the tv screen to test it) and warranty team was awesome and they acknowledged the intermittent dimming issue in the tv and picked the tv up and refunded me the full amount. So my point is go with 5 years extended warranty on ANY brand tv as I am not going to trust the brands anymore. It's the tech which fails over time.

I had an issue with a Sam's Samsung 85 inch Q60D TV and after verification; they upgraded my TV to Q70; at the time I bought the Q60, there was a $1K delta between the TVs.

They do this (like your experience of upgrading the tv model). In my case, the tech said the particular "Q80B" model's frame (the entire front portion of the TV minus the motherboards, TCON, speakers, legs, wires etc.) is not available in US but may be available in Mexico (factory location) so they cannot ship that item for me (expensive for them and not worth), so they said they will pick this TV up and refunded me via Zelle to my account. The entire process took 1 month, mainly due to freight team's availability to pick the TV as only after the TV is picked, their customer support sends the ticket to Citibank who takes 3-4 days to send me a custom link to choose Zelle or Check or direct deposit methods. So it depends on the TV model and its availability in the US soil.

If they had in-stock of Q80B's frame, then they will bring that in, lay on the floor, swap the motherboards, TCON boards, speakers and other components from my tv to the new tv and assemble it in 15 minutes (as told by tech) and they will reset the TV and re-configure it quickly. This is what the tech told me.
