Is the safety bar included? It's shown in photos but not on the list of included items.
Yes, it should be included. It's in all the videos I've watched on youtube.

Looks like a good deal. Anyone have this? How smooth is the lat pull down attachment?
Youtube reviews shows that the pulleys and the rope are good quality.

Insane price. Geez, I paid more for just my Texas Power Bar. I have a 3x3 flat foot rack from Vulcan that I got for around $800 shipped...but I would've gotten this instead in a heartbeat. Good deal!

I bought something extremely similar to this a few years ago. I think I paid ~$550 shipped.
1. This is a great deal.
2. The pully system works okay, but if you use pullies a lot, you'll probably eventually want to upgrade to something smoother and quieter, but something categorically better will cost you ~$2000+.
3. I wish the squat cage was deeper. It works, but I have to think about not backing up to far and hitting the back bars or not backing up enough and hitting the front bars. It's not a big deal, but if I ever buy my $2000+ "dream cage," it will be deeper.

Overall, if you don't have a cage and don't really know what will matter the most to you, definitely buy this, use it for a few years, and then you'll know exactly what you want if you ever go for the $2000+ cages.

I've been lifting for 30 years, mostly free weights (not machines).

Where would be a good place to get weights and the barbell to go with this set. I looked on marketplace at those prices looked comparable to big box stores. If I'm going to see those numbers I may as well buy new.

Is this worthwhile just to use the pulley exercises? I'm currently using resistance bands, but I'm looking for something a bit more "robust".

If you are willing to wait, eventually you will find a good price on a used barbell with 200+ pounds olympic weights. The more rusty, the cheaper. I was able to get my old basic power rack, cheap olympic bar, bench, and 200# of olympic weights for 290 delivered locally.

I think so. I added a pully set from Amazon to my power rack, and just being able to do pull downs and some rows, make my pull workouts a lot better. This rack with the upper and lower pulleys, would be even better as now I can do low rows.

The holes are no further apart than any rack this price point, and can be worked around with, for example, some wood on the floor. Most don't bother. But you're dead wrong about attachments. 2x2 is extremely common.
2x2 is common, this particular hole size isn't. And your proposal to fix the spacing is wood on the floor? So when the rack has 500 pounds in weights on it and you just switched from squat to bench, you unload the whole thing and find yourself some wood? Please record the next time you do this.

Is that right? Why would they make it that way?
I have no idea, but it sucks. You end up short-changing yourself on whatever exercise you're doing. I'd much rather have a quality half-rack with close holes than a 'do it all' rack that's mediocre at everything.

In for a black one, great deal. Temu has the arguably slightly better rack with the crossover cables for the same price, but I will keep it real with incline bench lifts.

Just scan here on SD. Bumper plates from Walmart and Amazon are pretty frequently posted here for $1/lb shipped. Which is a ridiculously good price if you're wondering.

If there's one thing I can advise on, get a decent barbell if you ever plan on exceeding 275-315ish lbs. If you want my recommendation on a brand name, do it all barbell it would be the Rogue Power bar, especially blemishes from the boneyard. If you aren't targeting anywhere close to that, then just about any barbell will do.
