Glad people still enjoy these games. While the original 2 greatly show their age, they were kinda the "Red Dead Redemption 2" of their time in immersiveness. The third is not awful by any means, but it was merely a AA instead of AAA studio doing it, and some controversial design decisions held it back a bit ( I don't care for Ultima VII style eating/hunger mechanics, but there they are). Still quite enjoyable, IMO.
Shenmue Dojo is running a campaign to get Shenmue 4 and Shenmue 5 produced, check them out on YT and Twitter if you want to see the story finish in video game form. The campaign has met with some success along the way, so there is some hope for a continuation.

New players will find it dull and dated, but you might enjoy it if you had fond memories of it on Dreamcast back in the day.
