For what it's worth I bought the S8 Pro Ultra Refurb from their eBay store ($866 after tax - ouch!) in March of last year and everything seemed brand new. Still working great.

I have an older roborock without mopping that is still working fine, how good is the mopping feature for hardwood floors? Deciding if it's worth the upgrade.

I have a Roomba J8+ and then switched to Roborock. Holy crap, the difference is night and day. The app itself has so much more functionality, the vacuum gets stuck much less, it's quieter and mapping technology is so much better. I bought the qrevo from Costco for the mopping due to the return policy but wife approval received so we've decided to keep it.

Have a S6 Max V where the battery is won't finish the 2nd floor in one charge. Roborock doesn't sell an official replacement battery. Amazon and Aliexpress all have 3rd party that doesn't have good reviews.

Which of these would be closest in power and battery life run time? I never used the Mop feature also.

I had just about given up on robotic vacuums after several Roomba (and some cheaper brand) failures. Got the S7 a few years ago and it's been really good. I never use the mop though so I can't comment on that.

I mostly get refurbs on electronics and have had good luck with all but not sure if I'd get a refurb robot vacuum.

Which is is better and why ?

I have S7+ that been running strong for few years now. I am debating moving it to my 2nd floor and getting a new one for the 1st floor. How do these 2 compare? it appears the mopping aspect is completely different on both then my S7. What year did this model release there are so many models on RoboRock site its confusing.

I had the same questions. Roborock makes it extra confusion and this is response chat support provided me

"Hi there, The difference between the two is Qrevo have spin mops or normal mopping while the S8 pro have a vibrarise mopping and also in terms of suction S8 pro have 6000pa while Qrevo have 5500pa.

Both models are good it depends on you what will you choose."

I have S7 model with vibration and can tell you its just ok as far as mopping.
I believe the newer spin mops are better. Hoping someone else can chime in with advice.
