I haven't verified, but I think this has the faster RAM so it's not bottlenecking the igpu. Most other 370 mini PC's in this price range have the slower RAM. It's tempting.

The AMD Al Max 390 only comes with the Radeon 8050S iGPU.

You need to bump up to the AI Max+ 395 to get the 8060s iGPU that's a gaming + AI workload beast (and is crazy expensive with no sign of meaningfully dipping in price for a while).

I also wonder what applications support the AI accelerator of this CPU. I know Nvidia GPUs are pretty well supported. But what can you even do with this thing? Like, does it run an image generator locally or something?

this is a good point. what standard pcix gpu has equivelent performance to this igpu?

Your right, I miss remembered, the 395 is what I was going for. The cheapest I've seen so far the like $1500 right now.

honestly for personal use inference purpose, you cannot beat 395 with 96G of ram, since you cannot even got a consumer grade GPU with 96G of vram (not counting the apple silicon which can come with up to 394G of vram)

Thanks, with the new nomenclature it is harder to remember which one has the best iGPU. The 390 alone is already on the same level of an RX 7700 XT according to notebookcheck. Too bad computers with those parts are more expensive than as assembling a desktop with equivalent CPU and GPU combo in terms of raw power. Though these are still more power efficient and portable.
