The AMD Al Max 390 only comes with the Radeon 8050S iGPU.
You need to bump up to the AI Max+ 395 to get the 8060s iGPU that's a gaming + AI workload beast (and is crazy expensive with no sign of meaningfully dipping in price for a while).
this is a good point. what standard pcix gpu has equivelent performance to this igpu?

honestly for personal use inference purpose, you cannot beat 395 with 96G of ram, since you cannot even got a consumer grade GPU with 96G of vram (not counting the apple silicon which can come with up to 394G of vram)
