I own the 2024 Razr 5G and yes, that phone does include a one-time replacement screen provided by U Break I Fix. I think it was good for 2 years from purchase and assume (right or wrong?) that the 2025 phone also includes it.

To The people who have received their phones. Could you please try and put a non total wireless SIM in your phone to see if it is locked or unlocked or check in the settings to see if the status says it is locked or unlocked. Just trying to test a theory that may be total wireless sent out unlocked phones on accident and that's why they are recalling them.

For anyone having activation or port issues, instead of reg TW CS, choose the "more options" in the IVR (recorded prompts) and select or say "disconnect". You'll be xfr'd to someone almost immediately and they have all the tools you need.

I mean, yeah, it's a little shady to abuse the retention department, but I got stuff to do, I'm not sitting on hold for 45 mins, told some bs, get disconnected while on hold or xfr'd, and then call back in and wait for a supervisor, like a lot of people here did.

It was a 5 minute call and my phone was on my account and working.
Smarter not Harder, friends. 🙂

to the people who did receive their phones. If I were you I wouldn't be in such a hurry to port my number over while the status of this phone s future is up for grabs. With the way total wireless handles customer service you have a huge chance of losing your phone number if they recall your phone back.

I somehow received the phone last Friday enven though it was recalled etc. Got tired of waiting and decided to try to activate today. Tried activating with GV # port, seemed to go through. The 3 months of service "started". Only strange thing was that the system couldnt tell me the identity of the phone model and no picture. Then when I refreshed, the site forgot about the port and reported I still had to activate, with no support ticket found for the activation. I went through the process 3 times with the same result. I will have to call

Can't say anything for sure, but it really looks like they are going to be recalling this phone. I've been following the rumors closely and I'm seeing multiple accounts on Reddit/YouTube saying that Verizon has identified the Razr as a fire hazard. I would not activate the phone if you received one, especially if you are porting over a phone number you value. The way I see it if this is true then Verizon is totally overblowing this situation. Because if these phones were catching on fire other companies would also be recalling their phones and worrying also. As far as I can tell the only place with the rumors of a fire is Verizon.

I don't think the fire hazard news is true. If this is true, motorola wouldn't be selling these out on their website. Nobody wants a Note 7 fiasco on their hands.

It would be quite strange if Verizon was the only one to recall the phone. I mean either these phones caught on fire or they didn't. If they did catch on fire, I don't see how Verizon is overblowing the situation - you simply can't sell a phone that you know is a fire hazard. If it is true, I don't see how Motorola doesn't do a full recall.

It's not even "release date" yet so I don't think this phone is canceled or recalled. So they are canceling people who orders out for delivery, but not those that didn't go out for delivery yet (like mine). That makes no sense. If it was being canceled or recalled we would all be canceled.

The phone was released on 5/15. Verizon/Total Wireless was planning to release it that day as well and Verizon put it on hold. There is a misconception that TW was releasing this device on 5/20 because the offer originally said, "Ships by 5/20". No one that ordered through TW has received their phone except a small percentage of people that received them BEFORE the UPS return request happened, which I believe was around 9:30am on 5/16.
For the record, I hope there is some weird miscommunication going on and we all get our phones.

What I'm trying to say is I don't believe these phones caught on fire because if they did other companies would be recalling them also along with Motorola. Maybe one phone got extremely hot from being plugged in and running some type of video loop and some millennial freaked out and made a big deal out of it. I don't know I'm just saying it's probably overblown.
