It's actually not an "unknown" brand. Although (truth be told), there are tons of lesser-known brands on planet Amazon. However, when it comes to devices such as this one, some of these lesser-known brands actually produce decent products. I can't attest to the quality/reliability of this particular product....but I have several of their cables and I'm very satisfied with them. I'll take the risk at 2 for $12.
It's funny....the shape is something that I'm not impressed with, but from what I've read, it's much smaller than it seems in that photo.
