This one linked is definitely better looking and built than the one posted on this thread! These bags are hit or miss.

Feels great in person, and it was linked here previously. Should work fine on my next trip, but I have not travel tested it. It's much sturdier than my old "nylon" bags.

I think that 100 WH is the aggregated limit, for all lithium based batteries. You can't bring two 100WH power banks on board.
I brought two Baseus 100 watt blade hd chargers. Just fine. The limit per charger is 100 watt, but you can carry max of two chargers.

For those interested, this would count as a cabin bag for most european airlines.

The problem with a backpack cabin bag is then you have to carry your under seat bag in your hands.

Whereas if you find (and they are tough to find in the us) a roller cabin bag that meets the stringent 21.5x15.5x7.8 in dimension you can then carry an underseat bag (small backpack) on your back and have your hands free.
Why is this a problem? Maybe I'm misunderstanding something.

TSA says 100 Wh per battery not total.
I believe you, I'm just giving my personal experience with multiple 20K's (or 20 wh) which is a pretty common, almost ubiquitou, capacity.

Does this have a dedicated clothes area? I just picked this 30L travel bag that folds in half and has a clothes compartment.

Approved for what? Carry on (I presume it is) or personal item?

i have a few matein products. these punch a bit above their weight for their price. decently made and sturdy enough to survive a number of trips so far.

they don't exactly compare to 100+ bags but for a cheap bag they are great.

FWIW, I got the 27L version last year and with it full but nowhere near maxed out, it fit easily under the seat in front of me with room for my feet on the sides. I considered the 40L bag but was afraid it would completely fill the under seat area, and I knew I'd be miserable if I couldn't straighten my legs for an entire flight. I also figured I could compress the 27L into the "personal item" dimensions of most airlines if needed, which wouldn't be possible with a 40L bag.

Note that the big downside of all of these suitcase-style bags is that you can't safely open the main compartment mid-flight. If you're like me and throw in all kinds of loose items at the last minute, you have to be super careful or that stuff will immediately start spilling into the darkest, hardest-to reach areas under your seat the second you try to get something out of the main compartment. With a traditional backpack that only opens at the top, it all just falls to bottom of the bag.

That looks pretty nice. I'd probably go with that but I like that the matein bag has a separate shoe pocket

Wonder frequently returned item probably caused by SDers which bought this and found out this is poor quality AND/OR feel like smaller than 40L listed so returned them.....
