Used this after Hurricane Ian in SWFL. Actually pretty useful and the food is tasty for what it is. Recommended for a SHTF scenario.

Man here I was gonna make a joke about getting your doomsday slop bucket, but you actually have a good use for it.

170 "servings" seems really dubious. They're counting nutritional servings not individual meals, items or what-have-you.

Looking at the composition, and assuming 2 serving is about what a normal person might eat of any given component of this, there is probably 15 days here of about 1500cal/day. (250/serving, 3 meals, 2 servings) You'd need to supplement this with other items.

It also appears to be packaged in bulk. Two pouches of powdered orange juice that makes 16 servings each. A serving is about 1oz of powder.

Are you making 16 drinks when you open that? Is it subdivided into 16 individual packets? Only one of these is particularly useful. Otherwise If i wanted to break this out for camping I'm having to individually package everything myself and having to seal everything again to try and maintain that longevity.

If the products are really packed in bulk like that, this seems unsuitable for individuals.

they are about the same price
Woot: includes 66 entree servings, 30 breakfast servings, 20 servings of rice, 44 drink servings, and 10 snack servings
Costco: 80 servings of hearty entrees & sides, 30 servings for nourishing breakfasts, and an additional 40 drink servings

This is one of those products that you're glad to have - almost a comfort item. It shouldn't supplant your normal preps but it's good to have just in case. I didn't get too bogged down on prices and didn't get 2 sheets about prices I paid when I needed to open it.

This attitude is needlessly dangerous. Yes, dipshit, sometimes it rains.

Forget disasters. Decent value for poverty meals actually. I approve.
