I have both. It's a totally different type of flame than the TS8000, which although a far more powerful flame, it's far more focused than the ThermoMaven's flame, which can adjust from a lumbering wide flame to a very widespread flame with more 'volume' and coverage than the TS8000.
Two different 'torches' for two different purposes, as a user may not need or want the focus/intensity of the far more costly TS8000.
