If you have a Family or Expansion membership, do not buy. This will not stack. That was a waste of $11

First time NSO user. Redeeming the code forces you to turn on automatic renewal. Will immediately going into account settings after redeeming the code and turning off automatic renewal cause problems? Nintendo says "Cancel your subscription by turning off Automatic Renewal" makes it seem like you loose the current balance (2 years at the moment) by turning off automatic renewal

No, you won't lose it. You even have to turn off the auto-renewal each time so that you can redeem a 2nd or 3rd key for 3 years of membership.

I preordered a switch 2, Dont have a nintendo switch online account. I am interested in having online for mario kart but also want the expansion pacts etc. Can I buy this, load up for 3 years and then worry about the expansion packs later or do I need to get those at the same time? Ive never actually had a nintendo online service before

Turn off autopay, no issue. Subscription will remain on until the paid period

Best to stock up on these as Nintendo has already raised prices on physical items. Only matter of time before they raise prices on services too (not that services are impacted by tariffs, but price increases are always followed by more price increases 😭)
