It does not support 128 GB.
Here's my review and headache I went through:
The unit comes with a 32gb FAT32 memory card. Book says it supports 128GB cards.
After trying to format to what works, fat32, I learned you CANT as fat32 is ONLY FOR 32GB and below.
Tried exfat and NTFS. Neither work and dashcam says to please format. This means there is no way to use a 128GB card. Read their book cover to cover. No solution for this.
False advertising at its finest.
DOES NOT SUPPORT ANYTHING OVER 32GB
and their support refused to help claiming they couldn't find my order number even after I copy and pasted to them.
I can build a PC and have dash cams and go pros.
Please don't buy and expect a 128gb card to work, IT WONT!

… did you try to format it on the device itself, cuz that's the solution.
Can it really record license plates? Have anyone used this? With a 170° wide angle front camera, and 2560 pix resolution, this is 14pix/°. So each symbol on the plate need at least 7 pix and therefore can not be smaller than ½°, best case. And the symbols are 38mm wide. Basic trig 38mm/sin(0.5)=4.3meters. So the car in front basically has to be into your bumper for you to reas the plate?
I do not have a cigarette lighter in my vehicle. It is has an USB-C port for power. Would I need to buy this cable separately or does it come with a USB cable for power ?

Ding ding ding, we have a winner. And you used MATH to calculate your answer, how novel! That's not to say anything about the bitrate or video encoding which can strip out even more details. Which given it's a cheaply made dashcam, you know it's not made to high engineering standards.
These dashcams have such poor resolution, you won't be capturing any license plate details whatsoever -- especially at night.
And that's the first thing that'll get the evidence rejected by the opposing counsel if this is used in a court case -- "we don't have proof that this is allegedly the defendant since we cannot make out the license plate in the video. doesn't matter if the driver spoke the license plate aloud. and we move to strike the entire audio per some esoteric wiretapping ruling."
"Also, if you refuse to strike the video evidence, we will subpoena the entire video on the memory card. LOOK HERE -- the plaintiff driver yawned 20 minutes earlier, took a sip from a water bottle 5 minutes earlier, singing for half an hour to the radio, and has a habit of not keeping their eyes on the road. The accident was THEIR fault, and not the defendant's fault -- all because of a history of distracted and unlawful driving behavior."
These are the joys of having an inward facing camera + recording audio.

You absolutely can format a card that large as FAT32, you just have to use a different tool.
These are the joys of having an inward facing camera + recording audio.
you can disable both
not sure what the point of an inward facing camera is unless you are a taxi, and in that case, i would absolutely have the interior recording with passengers
My experience has been once something like this is viable to be made in the US they still outsource materials, the customer service to AI and offer sponsorships to influencers which boost the price up 2-3x against comparable imports. Being middle class & shopping on SD, I'm in the demographic where price & finding value among better supply chain & manufacturing processes matter more. US products are even less chic for the upper class...they'd rather buy imports just for the sake of it being scarce IF we were able to make something worthwhile over here.
Many people have been fooled by the big guys up top who want you to buy in to their machine..America is about maximizing corporate profits for shareholders which doesn't lend well to the quality products long term🥲.

DOn't get a lithium battery powered camera. Heat in the car will kill the battery fast. Once the battery dies it won't store date and time and can't a save video properly. Unelss you can teardown the device and replace the battery is disposable. They are more expensive but get one with a super capacitor instead.
