Love our 22"
I use it for camping or when I wanna make breakfast outside. Good for a small family. Anything bigger than 3 adults and I'd look for the 28 or bigger.

Any standard adapter should work.

Just be aware that this is not the hinged lid and if you want to do any covered cooking this one can be a little obnoxious to deal with. Great grill/griddle, though.

Yup, I've had mine for about 2 years, and that is my only complaint. I wish it had a hinged lid!

I am looking at mainly for camping/day trips and like portability. I am really looking at the Blackstone with latching hood/handle (link below) for an additional $25. A little smaller footprint, but usually only two people. New to the Blackstone arena and any insight would be welcomed.

if its the adjustable stand - it's a POS. X-frame is much better.. I own both.

Family of 5. I used a 17" for a while and then upgraded to the 22" a couple years ago. We basically live in our fifth wheel.

If you are looking for a griddle for a home, I agree with this advice to go bigger for a family.
If you are looking for something you can take with you, go with the 22". Anything bigger isn't portable. A little bigger would be nice, but I don't struggle with the 22" for pancakes, stir-fry, burgers, etc. We cook on it tons. I struggled with the 17" and only recommend it for couples.
