Several reviews say it's LOUD! I don't need that in my garage or house…I've already got hearing aids and gonna save what I have left.

Yeah almost all the oil less air compressors are crazy loud. You can look at the California air compressors for something quieter. They even have aluminum models that will be lighter and last forever. That's what I plan to get down the line.

It is loud, like most oilless air compressors as someone above me said. I got this a while back as an upgrade from a three gallon harbor freight compressor. This one is noticeability quieter than that one, and even though this one is twice the size it fills up so much faster, so less noise in a couple ways compared to what I used to have. This was a good upgrade for me.

instead of 'for those interested' you can come up with a more useful phrase for clueless buyers like us. at least what it means

Hehe! Ok, so the CFM is cubic feet per minute rating.

It essentially tells you how much air it moves at 90 PSI.

Most air tools work at around 90 PSI. Things like a pin nailer use about 1-2CFM, a blow gun about 1, but a random orbital will use over 10 most of the time.

So this little guy can do a variety of nailers including a framing nailer. Blowers are OK, ratchets should be OK etc.

If you need to do sanding, then this will run out of steam pretty quick. It will work for a short time but the tool uses more CFM than the pump can provide so it can't replenish the tank.

Here is a link to get some learnin' on air tools - https://aircompressorinsider.us/w...me-garage/
