One of the video reviews shows a guy doing just that but I'm concerned it took forever to heat the copper. Anyone else know?

The tip on that thing looks huge, if you're sweating copper spend an extra $50 and get a turbotorch

I did it for my lawn irrigation pipe I had to replace the pressure breaker. It worked pretty quickly with MAPP

Will it remove your toes and/or blind you? Yes.

Do you want to loosen the bolts using thermal expansion? Yes, that should work.
Do you want to cut the bolts off? No, you need an oxy-acetylene torch for that.

Mapp gas doesn't exist anymore. Map Pro burns slightly hotter than propane, but not enough to justify the price difference. My guess is that this torch will work for plumbing as long as you're not trying to use it professionally where speed is a factor.

This could be nice when you can't fit the whole tank somewhere. Waiting for update. I don't see why not?

Small bolts maybe. CRC Freeze Off and Kroil are your best bets short of oxy acetylene. I have this firepoint and like it, but that's not what it's for.

MAP Pro = Propylene(Propene) is insanely overpriced for a marginally (3.5%) hotter flame. Copper melts at 2,000 degrees, and I think solder melts a few degrees lower than that (I think).
A good torch/nozzle will make way more difference than that extra 100F.
If you really want heat, there's always acetylene 😈

They sell extension hoses for disposable (14.1/16oz) cylinders and adapter hoses for larger, refillable (20LB+) tanks.
