Yeah I saw the traveling tour in Hollywood a couple years ago. I had only previously ever seen the 10th and 25th anniversary editions (the movie too but I like to pretend it doesn't exist) and there were many moments that made sense instead of the cast standing in place haha.

Javert's death was sooooo well done as they used rear project on the background of waves and when he "jumps" off the bridge, they used a pulley system to make him float towards the background into the smoke/waves/etc. It was such a cool design. Also, all the set pieces were fully automated and moved into their place on stage without anyone carrying them.

I love this show. Got it for free on Prime Video using No-Rush credit. Best use of the $5 No Rush credit. Worth the $10 if you want a physical copy. TU. Otherwise, the digital version is MA eligible.
