Unless you have a tiny place, I don't think a 2.0 or 2.5Ah battery is enough for these leaf blowers.
I have a tiny place, and one 2Ah battery will mow 3000 sqft on a single charge. I typically weed whack, mow, and blow all on one 2Ah battery (but I have 3x 2Ah and 1x 4Ah). You'll get the same runtime out of the blower (maybe 2000-2500 sqft on one battery). I just did my neighbor's yard and mine this week because he's out of town. People think 2Ah and forget you're multiplying that by 80 volts.

Be sure to check for an extra coupon on this as well. YMMV but I'm seeing a 20% off coupon that brings the pre-tax price to $108.37.

This was my first tool that got me in the line and will say, I can only recommend the upgraded one now. I pulled this one out after 2 or so years of not using it and boy you can tell a difference. With that said, cannot get it for this price but if you are seriously considering this line, you will appreciate the better one. Also, this is the most energy hungry tool. You want the 4ah. I will say I have the old 4ah and it also sucked because of size (stuck out a good amount) but recently got the new 4ah which is the size of the 2ah and it is incredible. Assuming the costco deal comes with that. Plus costo gives you double warranty on batteries if I remember correctly unless they axed that.

I kind of dislike how mainstream greenworks has become though. They used to have so many deal and was able to get most my bare tools for 100-150. Have backpack blower, chainsaw, hedger, pole hedge, weed whacker, push mower, self proper (thanks to recent deal), and the 2 hand held blowers. The 80V line is incredible and I recommend to everyone.

This is the weaker 500cfm model not the 700. I don't know how these numbers translate to real world usage but I have the kobalt 80v which is 630cfm and I never felt it was underpowered
Agree, I was just using the Greenworks Pro 80V 730CFM Leaf Blower with 2.5Ah Battery and Rapid Charger I picked up last year on ebay and could not be happier. It is every bit as capable as my old echo gas version and so convenient. Battery size has not been a problem for my use for keeping my drive and walks debris free. Mine was a refurb and under $90 if I recall.

I have both and can tell you that 4aH throws trimmer/edger/blower out of balance and handling is a pain. 2.0 is perfect for the job.

I am using their 80V system for 3 years now.

Annoying that there are different kind of batteries. Thought that 80 V should be similar but it's not. Now we have to keep track on the Amp of the batteries. Costco costs more but it's higher amperage.

You're essentially buying a battery that comes with a blower.

I have both the 500 and 730. I got the 730 because it came with a 2.5 battery. I was fine with the 500, but the 730 moves wet leaves and stuff much easier.

The 500 is fine for regular grass, leaves and helicopter seeds. I run it on auto mode at about 65-70% throttle most of the time. It will last easily 20-25 minutes I presume. I rarely run out of juice in 15-20 minutes of use on 2 amp battery.

I relocated the 500 to a secondary location where I clean up stuff and keep the bigger one at home. The 500 gets more use due to that. But I use my 730 to pile large catalpa seed pods and leaves for burning at home; it does well for that. It's more likely to take more than one, 2 amp battery to complete the chore on usually a high or turbo setting on and off auto mode.

I have several batteries now since I've picked up some of these smaller tool sets to help out with the small size battery for the decent size yard that needs ~8 full 2 amp batteries.

For most needs, I think the 500 is fine as well as one, 2 amp battery.

I need the hedger on a pole that is attached to the current chainsaw pole. But they don't make one that works or turns 90° or something. It's generic last I checked.

We got the 80 V weedwacker from Costco. It was so good I returned the ones from Lowe's 40 V weedwacker.

FYI for anyone that has the 80v Kobalt tools/batteries, they are cross compatible with Greenworks 80v. You just have to remove some of the guides in the battery slots. I have the Kobalt mower, hedge trimmer and snow shovel and use those batteries in my Greenworks blower and chainsaw. I used an oscillating multi-tool and a chisel to take out the battery slot guides in the tools.

I'm thinking about getting this.. but the negative reviews are making me pause. How long have you had it ? Any issues ?

Got the 80V 21" Mower last week and it's been awesome. Would've liked the 2nd battery to be 4.0 Ah instead of 2, but oh well..
