Ok this might sound really dumb but I ended up getting the double click issues a few months after owning it, saw someone saying if you shake the mouse really hard it fixes it. I shook that bad boy as hard as I could for like 40 seconds...haven't had an issue in 2 years lol if you still have it give it a good shake it might fix it.

Still amazed they keep this model going after all the double click issues and the replacement model already exists.

I've never had double click issued and I've gone through about 8 of them. There's a reason this mouse is still so popular - it's a great mouse, and there's really nothing like it if you're a fan of the shape and number of buttons.

How has this mouse been around for over a decade while they retired the g9x after like 4 years?

Mine has lasted for ~4-5yrs without issues. I adore it so much, I own like 7 of these things. Wired, Wireless, Wireless plus or X haha. At the office, at my other office, home, wife's pc, and kiddos pc's. All of them without any issues whatsoever.

The only thing I used to hate was the infinite loading screen glitch on software, but the new version don't have that issue anymore. I used to stay in a stable version and removed the updates so it could work before.
Me too. After I got mine for my house, I "needed" one for work. Wife got one. Got one for adult kid. Then my new job bought me one. Mine are all wired. None ever double clicked.

For work I mapped some of the buttons to Ctrl-c and Ctrl-v for better productivity and reduced repetitive motions

I had the double click issue. It was maddening when working with multiple folders. I finally ditched it for another Logitech and it seems to be holding up nicely. Hopefully they fixed the issue

The G Hub software is so much worse than their previous one LGS. I've stopped buying Logitech because I don't wanna use G Hub. It's that bad. I recently got gifted a Logitech keyboard and I'm hesitant to install it because I don't want to deal with the software. And I really need a new keyboard.

the double clicking is from static built up.

Just for fun I Googled the double click issue after reading your comment and I found a different solution and that is to bang on the mouse into your hand and click the button a little harder than normal. This got me thinking, people with the double click issue do you eat at your computer? Do you clean your mouse very often?

I have never had the issue but I clean my mice with a toothpick and Q-Tip and alcohol swabs often. I wonder if that's the difference.

edit. I'm not being judgy or anything I probably clean it too much A lot of times it looks brand new except for the plastic is smoother on my left click button. oh and I have one where the fabric wrapping on the mouse bunched so I cut it off so I have about a centimeter of white cable.

I have been using the same G502 for about 9-10 years now and it has been flawless. G602 also works great, though I go through batteries too fast so don't use it unless I have a reason to swap. I have a few spare G502's just in case as they were on a sick sale, but have yet to open any of them. My girl also uses the G502 without issue.

I'm a victim of the double click issue. Worked through the customer service to get a replacement after a year and the second one is going strong several years later. IMO, not a terrible risk at this price point.

I had double click and random release if I was holding something down. Bought some new switches off amazon recommended by reddit and fixed all the issues. Its a great mouse otherwise. My original mouse was probably 2-3 years old with not a great deal of hourly use per day <2 hours/day.

so much this!!! The DPI setting/ settings in general often reset. Doesn't matter if i store the profile on the mouse or not. I have to open the program and then close it and it resets what ever memory. The program is really slow to start up.
I've never had that issue with the settings resetting. I usually store the profiles on the mouse and they've always just worked. Except for the last profile. That one has never worked for me.

Beware the double click issue. At work my small tech department has banned employees buying Logitech mice because of too many issues with them. When attempting to warranty with customer service, Logitech denied replacement multiple times. It's too bad they don't stand behind their product.
