there is a prop 65 on it but it's not telling what chemicals like it usually does so it should be sold in ca then, but wondering why prop 65 as what it's made from should not have one so makes me suspect on it....

Some companies still use lead-based paint for longetivity purpose. If they cannot proof the paint used is lead-free then it is assumed otherwise.
