It was $150 then but they updated the kit with a shorter DCD794 drill and prices have gone up a lot since 2022 so I we might never see that price again. Not sure I prefer the single 2AH battery though. You might be able to get it with a second battery by waiting but it's a good start regardless.
I also have the monster DCD998 XR PowerDetect drill but I've drilled exactly one hole with it because I keep reaching for my smaller DCD709 Atomic instead… including last night when I needed to drill into a Sega Dreamcast (DCHDMI/DCDigital installation). The DCD794 in this kit is even shorter so I imagine it will be that much better for normal drilling. If I were drilling larger holes in wood (spade bits, hole saws) or concrete/brick (masonry bits for a hammer drill) I'd reach for the bigger one but the Atomic is more appropriate for almost everything.
Because of the 2ah battery...
