It's actually not as bad a videocard as people make it out to be for laptops. According to LAPTOPMEDIA.COM, the 45W RTX 4060 gets a 3DMark Time Spy score around 7,400. Greater performance than a 90W 3060 and a 65W 4050. Very close to a 90W 4050, in fact. And, I'm certain with less WATTAGE, there is less HEAT on the laptop. You tell me if a $650 gaming laptop for 1080p games with UPGRADABLE RAM is worth it?

Bought it on last sale. FYI windows updates takes a while, let it do its updates and be patient.

OOS for me in Los Angeles but checked where my family lives in the midwest and it's still available for shipping there so YMMV.

Make sure to open and close slowly the screen. Msi hinges are really bad.

I have an MSI Raider from 2020 and never closed the lid once. Sure the screen collects dust but I've heard the hinge thing before (which is why I don't close it) Smilie

oh nice! Will redact that info then. I'm in LA and it's not showing anywhere near me for shipping or pickup so assumed it was more widespread.

My brother and I both had MSI laptops that the hinges broke on over a decade ago. How is this still a problem?

How would this compare to Ryzen with 760m or 780m if concerns are heat and battery life?

Best Buy doesn't have this model listed on their site. They have one with an RTX 4050 and it was $599 in October and November. The oldest review for this on Walmart's site is from April 1st, 2025.
