Do not recommend even at this price. I owned this for a year and hated it. Returned this to Costco. You'll rarely use all of the grill space and because it's larger it will run cooler, burn through a lot more pellets which are expensive, and just frustrate you to no end. Had to disassemble twice to clear auger in winter. It's chinsy metal and just lets heat escape like crazy. Expensive long term. Upgraded to pro 575 and I'm burning like 1/2 of the pellets.

I did a smoke recently. 3 racks ribs . 1 piece of brisket flat. 7 sausages.
I love the extra space. I was NOT going through pellets super fast at all. I love how this is simpler smoker. No PID. No WIFI . I found those things dont work right. So i went to a simpler smoker and will never go back.

This is a sale price set by Traeger. So every Traeger retailer should have it at this price. Show some love to the local stores that carry it and pick them up there. It'll probably come with free assembly as an added bonus.

Each of them paid less money for the same approximate size and got more accessories and convenience features, like shelves and storage areas, and more efficient burning options.

This Treager is very bare bones and it uses a lot of pellets...even at very low temps. It's like Traeger put out the first auger-fed system and then quit trying. Others have improved on the auger-feeding plus improved the housings/shells and the user experience at less cost while Traeger seemingly rests on it's name and expects a premium.

Admittedly, I jumped on this deal last year because of the brand name and have wished I didn't ever since my first cook on it. It cooks fine, no better or worse than other pellet grills I've been around, but this will be the only Traeger I'll ever buy.

Out of all the ones your friends and family bought, which one would you recommend?
