I've tried on the Izods.
They won't fit everybody.

They are LOW RISE. If you want mid rise or Dad rise, get the Kirklands.
They have a big butt. If you fit into 501s the ass will be baggy. The thighs and calves are slightly smaller than normal, but they're not skinny jeans. Definitely skip these if you need 541s or like "relaxed fit."
The fabric is 68% cotton. It stretches a lot. It does feel a tiny bit slicker than 100% cotton, but it doesn't feel synthetic...just a bit smoother. The blue wash looks completely normal.

Basically the Izods are skinny jeans for people who don't skip leg day. The Kirklands are a more typical fit. Hope this helps!

(Also, please don't buy a million of these you don't need just because they're cheap, or to resell on ebay. Some of us actually need clothes.)

Anyone tried both (Izod and Costco)?

I find the Costco jeans have super tight pockets, where I could barely fit my cell phone in any of the pockets.

"They have a big butt" - laugh out loud wish I've seen this prior to buying 5 of them a long time ago. I actually didn't pay much attention until the wife pointed that out. So I just wear them while doing work around the house and these pants are terrible for that. They are thin and the crotch area would fray into a hole in no time.

When I bought these a few years ago they seemed to run a little short or maybe more TTS in length when I was used to other jeans being longer. I normally wear a 30" length and the izods were kinda a short 30 compared to say the buffalo jeans Costco used to sell.

they seemed decently skinny too me, I didn't really mind it, but all of my izod pants tear at the crotch, but I do probably get 3-4 months use of them

Yep looks like you are right, from my earlier comment I noticed that the Izod looked like slim, unfortunately I have beefy quads so these might get returned.Edit: don't think they're quite 501 skinny but definitely not straight as one would expect
I have big thighs and tiny calves (I only mountain bike for exercise : ) and the IZOD straight fit work well for me.

Because they don't accentuate your butt enough for trips away from home? : )

Would you say they are more of a slim-straight fit, or baggier than that?

The legs are somewhere in between most brands' "slim straight" and "regular straight".
But, the butt is really big. There is over 5.5" difference between front and rear rise.
And, they're low rise.

This is a rarely-seen combination. Usually low rise jeans are also skinny jeans, with tiny legs and a tiny butt. I wish more brands offered this type of cut, as it's far more comfortable for men who actually have a butt.

I don't think these fit the same as the "straight fit" pants Izod sells on their own website. If anyone has both, please let us all know!

Tag says "Made in Bangladesh."

Stretchy clothes almost always have some nylon or polyester in them, in addition to the 2% spandex. There are plenty of things to blame about Chinese manufacturing, like non-replaceable batteries and non-repairable everything, but I don't think "27% polyester in stretch fabrics" is one of them. I think that's just companies being cheap. When you're selling jeans at $16-20 instead of $40-60, you're going to cut every corner you can. I'm surprised that these Izods still have rivets and a metal button at the price!

You have to start checking ingredients on clothes now too... They are even putting plastic in jeans now like these!
