I use these all the time. I have noticed that the pasta content has significantly increased. I feel it used to be around 25%, now its over 50%.

it's probably totally fine, but the thought of microwaving something for 12 minutes straight horrifies me

12 minutes is far too long for the pasta. It's more like 6 in my experience with these.

I like Knorr's rice side products, regularly cook up a packet at work and add leftovers or maybe a package of tuna to it for protein. I always cook it in a pan though so can't vouch for microwave method. I haven't tried the taco rice yet but have been happy with other flavors.

And on a single pack. I guess a savings is savings but 15 cents off of a dollar product isn't my definition of slick. Then again, I usually pay $1.25 for these so the $1 price without the coupon is solid.

Cilantro Lime Rice is also an option.
