It's been confirmed that this will be actual game. No Game Key. Games with Game Key has a white bar at the bottom near the ESRB rating

Street Fighter 6 is one of them and you can see the difference on the game cases. See attached image
For a not even released Nintendo first party game (which rarely go on sale) $8 is significant.
It's partially significant.

This is currently the best price anywhere online (or in-store for that matter).

Thanks OP!

I don't know who's trying to die and on what hill, but what I do know is that people in this thread are too loose with numbers and English. $7 dollars off a $70 game, that is, 10% off, is a significant price reduction. That is, provided you have a paid Costco membership. Sure, that's a slick deal.
I don't know what part of the qualifier "for a nintendo game" you're having a hard time understanding.

I wonder if some of these games are going to be hard to come by?
To get the games no. But discount on new releases on new Nintendo console is going to be harder to come by even during holidays if past is any indicator

be aware that pre-order from Costco usual arrives a week or two after release and rarely arrives on time of release. If playing it right away is important order elsewhere. I learned that the hard way

If these really are just keys in a case to allow downloads, I'll finally break down get digital versions for this system. This is a good price though.
FWIW Game Keys are pretty terrible but they are better than direct store download because you can loan and sell them. So they are kind of like cartridge-lite in that regard.
But as mentioned Bananza is full game on card. I don't think there are any announced 1st party games on Game Keys Card. They are all full game carts.

Not bad at all? It's $8, it's certainly nothing great.

Edit: It's not even $8, it's just $7. Big whoop confirmed.
Are you new here? This is a RESALE thread. I personally bought 25 copies using old AOL addresses. Although it sounds crazy it will pay for much of the Switch2.

Something is better than nothing. Considering the console isn't even out yet, you won't find much 1st party games on sale this early. Tempted to cancel my GameStop preorder but I have $5 monthly reward I need to burn or I lose out. After the $5 off, its a $2 difference.

Pro tip you can preorder online and use your May monthly and the use your June monthly for a different game.

Already used May on a toy for my son. June will be for Mario Kart World. July for Donkey Kong Bananza. August maybe for extra joy-cons. Trying to plan out my purchases.

This is not entirely accurate.

Some / many third party games may opt for a physical cart that acts as a license key to download the games. You can still resell these since you'll need to keep the physical cartridge in the system to play.

Nintendo first party games that have physical releases will contain the full game on the cartridge.

Other third party games (cyberpunk for example) will also offer the full game on cartridge.

It will depend entirely on the publisher / game whether the physical copy will contain the full game.

Gotcha, looked it up further looks like they'll be labeled game key cards
