These are super efficient heat pump AC units which makes it stupid that they don't have a reverse function and also provide heat it would cost nothing to add that feature.

How are these comparing to Midea U-Shaped AC's? Nice shape, but are they reliable? The Midea's are excellent, hoping these are just as good.

EDIT: This deal is for a regular type, not the inverter type. So no comparison to the Midea U-shaped unit. I am still curious how GE's inverter AC compares.

Same- Really looking for an inverter with heat pump functionality. I see the same Amazon ad has the 10k inverter U-style window unit for $100 more but still only A/C, no heating.

I got a mini split but all the heat pump style AC units should be able to reverse.

My first thought is I'd be careful spending this much money on something sold in america. Them bald head middle eastern colonizers seem to be just wringing the last few dollars out the people they brought over here as slaves an driving it to the ground to raise up their new nation as capitol of the world. These people been selling trash 9n the level of their first book they made for the world these days; invisible scooby doo type products that don't exist as stated or do anything they claim . Thanks to the genius slaves here that sent their kids to die to steal some land they wanted to steal to make capitol of the global empire for centuries. the current leaders are clearly just throwing it away In the open an prepping to move to the new fatherland. Seem to be speeding up the rates they dispose of vassals nations. They wring them dry before leaving so the collapse can be used to burn down any written record of who ran the place. They started erasing that info with greater speed 10 years ago. So current events lines up with American corporate quality control an the average joes family history.

Jewff Bozo removed the Amazon pick up because he's in on it with the rest of the people who look related to him. So we clearly have evidence the quality is going down at all their stores an they are allocating resources to poach and hoard for "something" mode. (like maybe what they brag in everyone's faces every Sunday for centuries they are doing mode).

I bought a restored Danby 8k AC unit last year, and I can tell you I'm never going back to a traditional AC. These are easy to install; I just set the bracket and place the unit (I didn't screw or secure it -- but you may want to). They are quiet, efficient, and allow the window to be closed to a point where it is less of a security issue, and less noise pollution from the outside comes in. I only wish 5 or 6K units were available, since the weight of an 8K is noticeable.
