So glad that I read the comments here. I knew that this company recently changed their recipe and that it isn't the same, but had no idea that I could get the OG sauce at Costco!
It's not the original sauce, it's a rip off sauce like every other sauce out right now. Fyi nothing replace the og huy fong sauce no matter how you spin it.

FYI, now Costco has the original farm, with the original formula/peppers. This may be the original bottle, but its not the original sauce everyone loves. Huy Fong didnt want to pay a fair market price, so Costco moved in. Do not buy this expecting the original taste.
That's not how it works. The farm grows the peppers, it doesn't have its own factory. The process by which it turns into the sauce everybody loves was what Huy Fong does.

HF is very close to the original flavor these days, and Underwood, the brand that Costco sells, is even further away. It's a different sauce entirely. I know there has been a werid full-on anti HF campaign over the last few years, and it is not entirely uncalled for. But there is a lot of misinformation around buying Underwood if you want the orignal HF taste.

If you like HF, you likely won't have a problem with the current batch. And if you don't want to support the company anymore, that's fine as well. No need to spread you personal thoughts as fact to coherse people.

No, Underwood Farms originally supplied the jalapenos to HF, but HF still made the sauce. After HF screwed Underwood, they had a huge surplus (of course), and needed to do something about it, and came up with their own sauce. BUT it is a different recipe, and still not the HF recipe. Meanwhile, HF's quality suffered as they didn't get consistent peppers from their new suppliers in Mexico (I think), and thus we've been seeing the varying colors in their batches ... but actually that's good - means they are not using artficial coloring to keep the color consistent.
Some find the Underwood one too sweet - but its personal taste for all to try.

I purchased the Underwood "Dragon" sriracha at my local Costco about a year ago, and it was great -- the spiciest version I've tried in years. But then it went on clearance and disappeared for a while.

I recently saw it again with a slightly different label (which means the formula may be different as well). It was about $8 for a regular-size two pack, so this deal for a jumbo-size Huy Fong still seems like a good price.

I've become hooked on Sky Valley.
It is kind of a sweet heat, which I know doesn't appeal to everyone, but I really like it and use it on everything.
Although some stores lately I've only been able to find it at Sprouts or Whole Foods.
Walmart and Kroger used to carry it but I haven't seen it at either in a while.

Never been the same when they stopped getting their peppers strictly from Underwood Ranch. Their Sriracha has been pretty meh since. And the color is all over the place as they source from many different farms now.

Three Mountains Brand IMO Is far superior and closer to the original HF flavor when peppers were sourced strictly from UR.

Underwood farms does not have HuyFong's recipe they were just the supplier of the superior peppers. HuyFong Sriracha doesn't taste the same despite the same recipe because they are sourcing peppers from elsewhere. Underwood's Sriracha doesn't taste like OG HuyFong to me either.

The flavor party is over. Although some of you have mentioned brands I need to try. I was always a Sambal Oelek fan over Sriracha anyway.

Wait for the one that's coming and let us know how it tastes lol
Good luck getting me to remember to do that when we finally get it and open it in like 3 mos. Haha. I will share this tidbit though: picked up some McCormick sriracha seasoning a couple years ago (another Slickdeal). It's a great seasoning -- throw it on some veggies before roasting or sauteing. It's not the same flavor or "experience" as the sauce, but it's excellent in its own way.
