Sound quality is a bit better on these than the cheapo ones (the filter is higher quality), but if don't care about the marginal difference, the cheap version works fine and is probably better value. Imo these (as well as the ripoffs) are kind of uncomfortable for long periods compared to normal earplugs or the loop ones. Comfort is of course subjective and depends on fit and ear sensitivity.
Edit: They're also kind of annoying to clean if you have waxy ears

Can anyone ELI5 the difference between NRR and decibel reduction?
I thought NRR was noise reduction rating in decibels
