2. Like Apple, if you are bought into Ego it is just simple to stay with Ego
Partially due to the battery. Bare tools are usually much cheaper.
I paid the same price (not on sale as I recall) almost 2 years ago. The carbon fiber extensions are also not cheap. With 2 and the base unit fully extended it is very heavy and awkward.
Are the dedicated tools worth it over the multi-head system?

My ph1400 with pole saw just cut down a 10" limb with ease. It's not even close to the same as green works, those are toys. I've done full scale commercial delimbing jobs with this thing. It's a workhorse. I can't imagine what a dedicated pole saw from Ego could do.
Looking for a reasonably priced pole saw. Can you point me to some $100 models. Would be very helpful. Thank you.
