The resale value on these vs. the American Pro II is poor considering you can find the Pro II at this price pretty regularly. These pickups may be more your style, but something to think about for the future.

$200 off isn't a great deal. I guess if you're in the market for this guitar specifically, sure. Doesn't come close to the Fender Juanes deal from November.

People who buy new guitars with the resale value of it in mind really shouldn't be buying new guitars. You should never make a choice like that based on what some clown tells you will be the future resale value. Get the right guitar and don't resell it.

I'll die someday and they just said it's something to think about, not the only thing so don't be a jerk, I'd like my kids to get as much money for my guitars as possible, who are you to say who should or shouldn't buy a new guitar, some clown perhaps?
