I normally abhor the knockoff batteries but for this or the corresponding light, the knockoffs are probably ok. I'd charge them in a metal cabinet though… and as slowly as possible. Toolboyworld website has a good breakdown.

It figures that HD gives a very big discount on a product that use the less common battery size.

There are a lot more 18-volt RYOBI tools than there are 40-volt ones.

HD show some love to your long time customers that have a whole garage full of 18-volt tools and batteries!
