Great deal. I was occasionally able to get version 4 for about the same price over the past year or two thanks to deals from ShopSimon and adidas on eBay, and my son has gone through 3 pairs of those and liked them. Glad to get another for a similar deal and try version 5. Thanks OP!

The insoles are paper thin garbage that go first. Then I had a big hole in the toe box of left shoe due to me dragging it on serves and net play. I'm not even a heavy guy either. Hesitant to buy these.

Lighter models wear quicker, it's the price you pay for a lighter shoe. Doesn't mean they are worse

Does that justify the retail price being in line with likely more durable products? Being clearanced on tennis warehouse within a year isn't a good sign either. I suppose at $50 the price is right for some, but being unable to walk after a light session, which happened early in my ownership of the 4's, is not worth getting it for free.

I've been a big fan of adidas tennis shoes the past 5 years… as you mentioned with the shoe opening up on top left inner side— i have same issue and turned to shoe goo to extend life of my shoes by extra few months.
