To me, this is more of an "I don't want to eff up my Sheffield Marples Blue Chip chisels while chiseling on home projects by hitting a nail" set, rather than a fine woodworking set. That being said, they are a decent, basic set of chisels and good for homeowner or hobbyist woodworking use. And as far as sharpening, on amazon you can get a full whetstone sharpening set with guides for knives and chisels for under $30, or a set of diamond sharpening plates in various grits for under $20.
I wanted to get into woodworking as a teenager and bought Marples when I apprenticed for a master craftsman. He used the Veritas system with a stone
