What is abusing the policy is returning a couch 10 years later because you wanted a different one
Costco has cheap clothes, which are not top quality. We buy those because of good price/ quality balance. Returning anything after 1 month is not allowed at most stores.
Costco has this policy because it knows average joe doesn't do returns after months.
